1. Who is responsible
LIYANA TEACHING TOOL, registration number 2020 / 782372 / 07, is the responsible party for personal information described in this notice. Liyana operates remotely and has no public-facing office.

2. What this website collects
The website does not create user accounts and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. It does not collect learner classroom data or other learner personal information.
If you choose to submit a contact or demo form, Liyana may receive:
- your enquiry intent (school demo, 2027 pilot, partnership, or general enquiry);
- your name and email address;
- your school or organisation (asked for demo, pilot and partnership enquiries; optional for general enquiries) and your role, if provided;
- the message you include.
Submitting a form is voluntary. Enquiry details are sent to Liyana so we can reply by email; the website does not create an account for you.
If you instead use an email link, your email application opens and you decide what to send. We may then receive your name, email address, role, school or organisation, and any information you include in the message.
3. Why we use enquiry information
We use enquiry information you submit by form or email:
- To reply to questions and demo or pilot requests.
- To communicate with schools, funders and potential partners.
- To maintain appropriate business correspondence.
- To protect our rights, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
We process this information because you chose to contact us, because it is necessary to respond, and for Liyana’s legitimate operational interests.
4. Cookies and technical information
Liyana does not use analytics, advertising pixels or marketing cookies. Our hosting provider may process basic technical logs, such as an IP address, browser information and request time, where necessary to deliver and secure the website.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by providers that support our email, website hosting and IT security, or disclosed when the law requires it. We require providers acting for Liyana to handle information appropriately.
Some providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Liyana will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate protection applies.
6. Retention and security
We retain enquiry correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, an ongoing relationship, record-keeping or legal obligations. Form submissions are treated as enquiry correspondence and retained on the same basis. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no email or internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where appropriate, or complain about our handling of your information.
